Ive dined in China Flute before, and then, the food was getting consistently worse over time. But yesterday, I gave it another go, and damn it was better. I ordered a simple special fried rice and black bean on a hot plate, and it did not disappoint. The fried rice was golden in colour, and delightful in taste, given a generous amount of ingredients. Comparing to all the times i've been here before, the beef in my Black Bean was far more fresh and tender, which was also seasoned just right. As I left, the owner along with the chef who I dont recognised nicely thanked me for coming, which I definitely will again.

We have been dining at the Flute about once a fortnight over the last 18 months. The food has improved dramatically in that time. The servings are large and full of fantastic meats, vegetables and sauces. The staff are friendly and efficient. Every now and then Hugo (the boss) offers us an experimental meal which his highly qualified chef has prepared. They are π winners.

We ordered the extra large Deluxe Fried Rice. It had three large king prawns, baby prawns, chicken and BBQ Pork, it was such a very large serving size we had plenty of leftovers and it was delicious. Also we ordered Chicken in Oyster sauce with cashew nuts. Another very generous serving size and the chicken was so tender and the vegetables so fresh. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant.
